Job Description

About the Role

As a Quality Officer, you will be responsible for conducting receiving and first article inspections of mechanical and electronic parts. Working closely with our engineering and production teams, you’ll ensure all inspected parts meet the required specifications, supporting our quality assurance efforts across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections of electronic and mechanical parts in accordance with inspection test plans (ITPs) and technical drawings.
  • Record inspection results and maintain accurate supplier documentation.
  • Create and use process checklists to support inter-site quality inspections.
  • Review and suggest improvements to manufacturing process instructions and testing documentation.
  • Operate precision instruments (verniers, micrometres, microscopes) to verify conformity.
  • Draft non-conformance reports and support corrective action reviews.
  • Assist with defect management in line with company procedures.
  • Provide general support to the Quality team as required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a quality inspection or similar role
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and document management systems (e.g., SharePoint)
  • Experience with inspection of electronic assemblies and familiarity with IPC standards (preferred)
