Vice President – Programs, International 

EOS Defence Systems is seeking a strategic and driven Vice President – Programs, International to lead and oversee all program and planning activities across our Defence Systems organisation. This executive role is pivotal in delivering large-scale, high-impact programs—both customer-funded and internally developed—that contribute to the global growth of EOS.

Job Description

About the Role 

As the VP Programs, you will: 

  • Oversee the delivery of internal and external programs ensuring they meet business, customer and quality expectations. 

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction across our international operations, aligning all program management efforts to business priorities. 

  • Champion a process-driven yet pragmatic culture that empowers cross-functional teams to solve problems and deliver outcomes efficiently. 

  • Ensure continuous improvement of program planning, reporting, and performance metrics. 

  • Foster strong customer relationships and proactively support new business opportunities including RFTs, RFIs and RFQs. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead and motivate a high-performing, commercially astute project management team. 

  • Drive collaboration across functional areas to support program success and resolve cross-team challenges. 

  • Manage short-, medium- and long-term business planning and prioritisation. 

  • Maintain executive-level program forums, decision-making insights, and reporting dashboards. 

  • Enhance PM capability, introducing tools such as Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting. 

  • Engage internationally across EOS business units to ensure integrated delivery and customer alignment. 

Desired Skills and Experience

What You Bring 

  • A natural cross-functional leader with strong stakeholder engagement skills. 

  • Depth of experience in Matrix Management and a proven ability to reconcile business priorities across functions. 

  • A planning mindset, able to oversee multiple concurrent programs while maintaining a strategic focus. 

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify, shape, and execute business opportunities. 

  • A deep understanding of engineering, manufacturing, and project environments. 

Qualifications & Experience 

Essential: 

  • Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. 

  • Minimum 10 years in senior leadership within an industrial or defence organisation. 

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex programs and influencing diverse stakeholders. 

Highly Desirable: 

  • Postgraduate qualifications in Business Management. 

  • Familiarity with ASDEFCON and Australian Defence industry practices. 

  • Knowledge of product engineering and manufacturing systems.
