As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making across the business.
Job Description
The Financial Accountant will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, maintaining general ledger integrity, ensuring compliance with international accounting standards, and supporting internal and external audits. The role will also contribute to process improvement initiatives and provide financial insights to support business performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage month-end close, journals, accruals, and reporting
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
Provide financial insights to support decision-making
Ensure compliance with ASX, IFRS, and Australian tax obligations
Support audits and liaise with external and global finance teams
Drive process improvements and automation initiatives
Mentor junior staff and enhance financial governance
Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams
Desired Skills and Experience
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CA or CPA qualified (or currently undertaking studies towards a CA or CPA qualification)
Minimum 3+ years’ experience in financial accounting, ideally within a multinational or listed company
Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards, IFRS, and global reporting frameworks
Experience with ERP systems (such as Epicor and Xero)
Strong Excel skills and/or experience with PowerQuery or PowerBI.
Exposure to group consolidation, intercompany transactions, and foreign currency accounting
