About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join our Technical Communications team. Reporting to the Technical Communications Team Lead, you will play a key role in drafting, editing, and producing high-quality technical publications that support our engineering and operational requirements.

Job Description

What You’ll Do

  • Create and edit technical documentation including:
    • Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETPs)
    • Operator & Maintenance Manuals
    • Illustrated Parts Catalogues
    • Manufacturing Process Instructions
  • Ensure compliance with ASD S1000D standards using the R4i Suite and associated publishing tools.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams locally and internationally to capture requirements.
  • Work cross-functionally with Project, ILS, Training, and Maintenance teams to deliver accurate and timely publications.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and other duties as required.

Desired Skills and Experience

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree qualification in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical writing or documentation roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Defence Industry Technical Publication Standards.
  • Experience within CASG environments highly desirable.
  • Ability to obtain AGSVA Baseline Clearance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a detail-oriented and process-driven approach.
