The Site Materials and Shipping Specialist plays a key role in supporting EOS operations by managing site materials, coordinating shipments, and maintaining accurate and secure inventory across EOS locations. Working within the Supply Chain team, this role ensures timely material handling, efficient inbound and outbound logistics, and reliable support to production and warehouse activities. With a strong focus on accuracy, organisation, and proactive problem‑solving, the Specialist helps keep critical materials flowing smoothly and safely to meet operational and customer needs.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Materials Handling
Accurately process inventory and logistics transactions within the EOS ERP system in line with established policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Receive, store, pick, issue, and transfer materials to support warehouse and operational needs.
Ensure all inventory transactions are completed accurately and in a timely manner to maintain system integrity and stock accuracy.
Conduct thorough documentation and quality checks during goods receipt, putaway, dispatch, and other warehouse processes, including verification of required quality documentation.
Undertake scheduled and ad hoc stocktakes and cycle counts, investigating and reporting discrepancies as required.
Maintain awareness of inbound deliveries and coordinate the safe and efficient unloading of goods using appropriate materials handling equipment.
Collaborate effectively with Production, Purchasing, and other EOS DS stakeholders to prioritise and complete tasks in alignment with business requirements and EOS systems and procedures.
Actively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by adapting to changes in procedures, technologies, and work practices.
Operate in accordance with workplace health and safety (WHS) standards, proactively identifying and reporting hazards or incidents to management.
Provide relief and support for Materials Handlers at the Hume sites as required.
Inventory Control
Maintain organized material storage areas, ensuring accurate location and quantity records in the ERP system (Epicor).
Verify and correct discrepancies in material quantities in EOS’ inventory systems,
Consolidate physical racking/storage spaces for efficiency and space optimisation.
Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts.
Oversee disposal of approved scrap materials, including hazardous substances, in compliance with safety standards.
Management of consumables inventory, including packaging materials, PPE, and general production consumables. Coordination of the re-ordering process with EOS Purchasing as required.
Quarantined stock management and transaction processing
Manage the movement of quarantined stock, scrapped parts, and returns to vendor as directed by the Senior Quality Officer and in line with EOS policies and procedures.
Arrange shipments and offsite transfers as required.
Logistics and Shipping Coordination
Domestic shipment
Picking the parts that need to be shipped out from EOS (including parts request, RTV, etc).
Assess and apply appropriate packing methods to avoid damage during transport. Manage and procure appropriate packing materials as required.

Manage freight forwarders, including delivery/receipt scheduling, and keep the ERP system and stakeholders (such as Purchasing) updated with amended dates.
Utilise EOS’ shipping processes to record and manage shipping transactions, and obtain/maintain status updates of any shipments as required from EOS staff and freight forwarders, and keep stakeholders informed.
International shipment
Coordinate shipments to/from international suppliers using freight forwarders or courier companies (e.g., TNT, FedEx) as required by the Logistics Procurement Manager.
Prepare shipping documents (e.g., commercial invoice, packing list, delivery note) as required by the Logistics Procurement Manager.
Store documents in the correct directory for ease of access and ensure appropriate entry of shipping data.
Use the ERP system Epicor to find necessary information about parts, purchase orders (PO), jobs, etc.
Utilise EOS’ shipping processes to record and manage shipping transactions, and obtain/maintain status updates of any shipments as required from EOS staff and freight forwarders, and keep stakeholders informed.
Continuous Improvement & Safety
Contribute to process improvements and adapt to evolving procedures and technologies.
Operate safely, follow WHS guidelines, and report hazards promptly.
Additional Duties
Drive company vehicles for inter-site transfers within the ACT region.
Provide backup support for Materials Handlers at EOS DS sites when required.
Perform tasks as directed by Inventory Manager, Logistics Procurement Manager, or VP Supply Chain.

Qualifications & Experience:
LF Forklift Licence.
Valid Australian Driver’s Licence (ACT/NSW).
Experience in materials handling, inventory control, and shipping coordination.
