The Logistics Support Officer at EOS Space Systems is a critical role at the heart of operations, ensuring the efficient coordination of materials, equipment, and supplies across cutting-edge projects. Your work will directly support the timely delivery of advanced systems, driving operational readiness and project success. Given the nature of work, the Ability to hold and maintain appropriate security clearance is essential.

 

Job Description

Key responsibilities

  • Accurately create and enter purchase orders into the procurement system.
  • Source and request quotations from suppliers and maintain records for procurement decisions.
  • Confirm and record the receipt of goods and services against purchase orders, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation.
  • Liaise with the finance team to resolve discrepancies between purchase orders, deliveries, and supplier invoices, ensuring timely payment processing.
  • Schedule and track deliveries of goods and equipment, ensuring timely arrival and resolving any logistical issues with suppliers or freight providers.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels of operational supplies and equipment, conduct regular audits, and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Prepare and pack items for domestic and international shipment, ensuring compliance with handling and packaging standards.
  • Generate and manage shipping documentation including consignment notes, customs declarations, and compliance forms.

Desired Skills and Experience

Experience 

  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
  • Experience in logistics or supply chain operations, preferably in a defence, aerospace, or manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of inventory control, warehousing, and transport coordination.
  • Awareness of Australian export/import regulations and defence compliance frameworks (e.g., ITAR, DISP).
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-security, fast-paced environment with strict attention to detail.
